* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 ft.

* WHERE...South facing reefs of Pohnpei.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM ChST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southerly swell looks to persist through through Thursday afternoon. This may get additional support from Tropical Depression 17W, which will continue to strengthen over the next couple of days, as it moves westward away from the region.
