Flood Advisory

A slow moving thunderstorm is producing heavy rainfall, with flooding possible over the next few hours.

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Nevada, including the following county, Elko.

* WHEN...Until 1115 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 805 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.6 and 1.3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area.
