* At 1115 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms stretched from Carpentersville to Wheaton, and were moving east at around 25 knots. They will reach the Lake Michigan shoreline in approximately 1 hour.
HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and large hail.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage.
