Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Northern Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico...

* WHEN...Until 600 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 305 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen northwest of Chama. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Northern Rio Arriba County. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
