The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...
* Until 830 PM MST.
* At 528 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. This warning impacts the low water crossings at Pipeline Road and Cole Road to the east of Ajo.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Northwestern Pima County.
This includes Route 85 between mile markers 33 and 36...and between mile markers 46 and 49.
This includes the following streams and drainages... Gibson Arroyo, Sikort Chuapo Wash, Tenmile Wash and Rio Cornez Wash.
