Severe Thunderstorm Warning

At 524 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles south of Merriman, or 25 miles east of Gordon, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...At 419 PM MDT, the public reported quarter sized hail 8 miles south of Merriman.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include... Highway 61 Crossing The Niobrara River and Intersection of Highway 61 and Shadbolt Road.

This includes Highway 61 between mile markers 206 and 219.
