Fox River Lower Near New Munster affecting Lake and Kenosha Counties.
.Residual river flooding remains after recent rains of 3.5 to 4.5 inches over southeastern Wisconsin.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Fox River Lower near New Munster.
* WHEN...Until this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Floodwaters begin to affect 77th St. in the Town of Wheatland. Floodwaters are near some homes along Riverside Dr, Shorewood Dr, and Highway W in the Village of Salem Lakes and Town of Wheatland areas. Fox River Park boat launch starts to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 11.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:00 AM CDT Friday was 11.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this morning and continue falling to 8.5 feet Thursday evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.3 feet on 03/30/2020. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
