Tarkio River at Fairfax affecting Atchison and Holt Counties.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Thompson River at Trenton.

* WHEN...Until Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Low lying areas north of the gage are flooded. At 30.0 feet, Backwater along the Weldon River causes flooding at Northwest 22nd Avenue and Route A north of Trenton. At 31.0 feet, Southwest 30th Avenue floods a quarter mile south of Highway 6. In addition, backwater flooding along Muddy Creek begins to affect Morningsun Drive in southeast Trenton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 29.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this afternoon and continue falling to 13.4 feet early Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 27.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
