* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Chesterfield County in central Virginia... The City of Colonial Heights in central Virginia... Northwestern Prince George County in south central Virginia... The City of Hopewell in south central Virginia...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 640 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers producing heavy rain Hopewell where multiple reports of flooding have been received. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Fort Lee, Virginia State University, Chester, Ettrick, Meadowville, Birchett Estate and Jordan Point Country Club.
