Wabash River at Lafayette.
.Heavy to extreme rainfall across northern central Indiana since last week has produced minor to moderate flooding along most of the Wabash River from Lafayette down to Riverton...with the crest in moderate flood currently passing Montezuma. Moderate flooding will end at Covington pre-dawn Wednesday...while starting at Terre Haute. Flooding will end at Lafayette by midday Wednesday...with flooding starting at Vincennes by early Thursday.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Vincennes.
* WHEN...From late Wednesday night to Friday, August 28.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Extensive agricultural flooding in progress in areas that are not protected by levees. In Lawrence County Illinois, River Road is flooded from the Lincoln Memorial Bridge to the east edge of Billett.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:45 PM EDT Tuesday /5:45 PM CDT Tuesday/ the stage was 13.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Thursday morning to a crest of 21.0 feet Monday evening.
