Flash Flood Warning

At 1122 AM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Sells, Drexel Heights, Three Points, Topawa, San Miguel, San Isidro, Kitt Peak, Tucson Estates, Valencia West, Tucson Mountain Park, Saguaro National Park West, Ali Chukson, Gu Oidak, Vamori, South Komelik, Cowlic, Fresnal and San Pedro.

This includes the following highways... Route 86 between mile markers 113 and 167. Route 286 between mile markers 17 and 45.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Manville Rd at Brawley Wash, Indian Route 19 south of Topawa and Indian Route 20 at Cowlic.
