* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Nueces River at Laguna.
* WHEN...From early this morning to this evening.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding reaches low water crossings on Highway 55 above Barksdale on Hackberry Creek. The Nueces River crossing at Barksdale is very dangerous. East of Camp Wood Farm to Market 337 crosses Camp Wood Creek in three places. Vehicular related drownings have occurred at all these sites. At 14.0 feet, Moderate flooding with flow exceeding the banks of recreation camps in northern Uvalde County endangering sleeping campers and washing autos and gear downstream. Highway 55 crosses Hackberry Creek above Barksdale and the Nueces River at Barksdale. Farm to Market 337 crosses Camp Wood Creek east of Camp Wood in three places. All these crossings have had vehicular related drownings.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 10.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 10.1 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage to 9.9 feet early this morning.
