Several large wildfires developed across the region yesterday and exhibited extreme wildfire behavior. Atmospheric conditions are on track to be similar today as yesterday, and thus rapid wildfire spread will again be possible. The most concerning conditions are generally located near current wildfires, but any new wildfire development will also be capable of extreme behavior.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 203 Lower Colorado River, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 292 North Fork Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 294 Southwest Colorado Upper West Forecast Area below 10000 feet. In Utah, Fire Weather Zone 490 Colorado River Basin and Fire Weather Zone 491 Southeast Utah.

* TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from noon today to 10 PM MDT this evening. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Monday afternoon through Monday evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...7 to 12 percent.

* IMPACTS...Extreme fire danger is expected. Fires will spread uncontrollably and could be very destructive.
