Details

At 313 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 20 miles southeast of Ruby Lake, moving northeast at 50 mph. These cells have a history of producing cloud to ground lightning strikes and could pass very close to the Kearny fire.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Cloud to ground lightning will pose a risk to firefighters on the Kearny fire.
Locations impacted include... Kearny fire, Lages Junction and Cherry Creek.
