Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Nebraska, including the following counties, Garfield and Loup.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 606 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Burwell, Taylor, Calamus Reservoir State Recreation Area, Virginia Smith Dam, Homestead Knolls Campground, Kent Diversion Dam State Wildlife Management Area and Nunda Shoal Campground. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
