The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
* AFFECTED AREA...Mostly the Shasta and Scott valleys of Fire Weather Zones 280 and 281, but also portions of the Klamath National Forest.
* WINDS...Southwest to west 10 to 20 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph.
* MINIMUM HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.
* DURATION...3 to 7 hours.
