...The National Weather Service in Wichita KS has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Kansas...
Ninnescah River near Peck affecting Sedgwick and Sumner Counties.
Ninnescah River near Belle Plaine affecting Sumner County.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Ninnescah River near Belle Plaine.
* WHEN...From this morning to early Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Three miles west of Belle Plaine near the gage site, a small section of K55 floods east of the bridge. Flood waters flow over Highway 81 starting at 1/2 mile north of K55 and spreading to 100th Avenue. The water on Highway 81 may be near 1.5 ft deep.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 16.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 24.6 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
