At 1208 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 38 nm south of Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, or 49 nm southwest of Southwest Pass Of the Mississippi River, moving south at 5 knots.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes.
