Flatrock River near Columbus.
Muscatatuck River at Vernon.
Big Blue River at Carthage.
.Major river flooding is expected. Heavy rainfall of three to eight or more inches will bring major flooding to area waterways, including the Big Blue River at Shelbyville. Other areas such as the Driftwood near Edinburgh and the Flatrock River at Columbus should expect moderate river flooding as well. At the current time, further downstream locations on the East Fork White can expect minor lowland flooding, but may approach moderate levels.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...East Fork White River at Seymour.
* WHEN...From early this morning until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Flooding becomes more extensive. Although this level is fairly frequent, many local and state roads flood. Seymour gravel pit begins to flood. Livestock and equipment must be relocated to higher ground. High water surrounds river residences near Rockford. CR 760 E south of river gaging station is impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 10.5 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early this morning to 16.0 feet this evening. It will then fall early tomorrow afternoon. It will rise to 16.9 feet Saturday evening. It will then fall again but remain above flood stage. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
