.NEW INFORMATION... Damaging winds are imminent or occurring in Alamagan, Pagan and Agrihan.

.AREAS AFFECTED... This local statement provides important information and recommended actions for people in the Northern Marianas.

.WATCHES/WARNINGS... A Typhoon Warning remains in effect for Pagan and Agrihan. Typhoon conditions, including damaging winds of 74 mph or more, are imminent or occurring.

A Tropical Storm Warning and a Typhoon Watch remain in effect for Alamagan. A Tropical Storm Warning in conjunction with a Typhoon Watch means that tropical storm conditions, including damaging winds of 39 to 73 mph, are imminent or occurring, and typhoon conditions, including damaging winds of 74 mph or more, are possible in the unlikely event that Typhoon Saudel moves far enough west of its forecast track.

.STORM INFORMATION... At 8 AM ChST...the center of Typhoon Saudel (17W) was located near latitude 17.5N...longitude 146.9E. This was about 70 miles east of Alamagan. Storm motion was northwest, 325 degrees, at 15 mph. Storm intensity was 90 mph.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW... Tinian and Saipan should soon receive the all clear if they haven't already. Typhoon Saudel is nearly atop Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan.
