For the following areas... Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD...

At 404 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 18 nm northwest of Tidal Basin to 15 nm west of Key Bridge to 24 nm northwest of Leesylvania State Park, moving east at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 48 knots and small hail.

SOURCE...Observed wind.

IMPACT...Boaters could easily be thrown overboard by suddenly higher wind and waves capsizing their vessel. Boats could suffer significant damage in high winds.

Locations impacted include... Tidal Basin, Fort Washington, Reagan National Airport, Gunston Hall, Woodrow Wilson Bridge, Key Bridge, Fort Hunt, National Harbor, and Alexandria.
