A strong storm system is moving into the northern half of the Alaska Panhandle and the northeast Gulf Coast this morning and will continue through today. Total rain accumulation are expected to be between 1.5-2.5 inches, with the heaviest rain late Tuesday morning into Tuesday afternoon. Wet snow is possibly on the Klondike Highway near White Pass up to 3 inches through tonight, though warm surface temperatures may hinder these snow totals. The associated frontal band for the rains should be passing through around 4 pm Tuesday.
