At 217 AM EDT/117 AM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near New Carlisle, or 8 miles northeast of La Porte, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... South Bend, La Porte, Buchanan, New Buffalo, New Carlisle, Three Oaks, Dayton, Galien, Byron, Hudson Lake, Chain-o-lakes, Crumstown, Rolling Prarie, Hesston, and Lydick.
