.Flooding continues along the Peace River and Horse Creek near Arcadia due to recent heavy rain.
* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Peace River at Arcadia at SR 70.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Up to 60 homes at River Acres are flooded. The Woman's Club and American Legion are impacted.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM EST Thursday the stage was 16.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 PM EST Thursday was 16.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 13.6 feet Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.0 feet on 02/21/1998. - https://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
