The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Steamboat Canyon in Apache County in northeastern Arizona...

* Until 1115 PM MDT.

* At 808 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain northeast of Steamboat Canyon. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, and highways.
