At 734 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Northeastern Albuquerque, Sandia Heights and Carnuel.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 160 and 173. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 228 and 233.
This warning is primarily for the arroyos and diversion channels within the affected area due to the expected increase in rapidly flowing water. Please avoid arroyos, diversion channels and any other areas that are flooded.
