Flash Flood Warning

At 722 PM MDT, the public reported high flows on upper reaches of the Paria River south of Tropic several hours ago. This flood wave will continue to move downstream past Highway 89 and into the Lower Paria River Canyon. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...National Park Service reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams, slot canyons, and normally dry washes.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Areas along the Paria River in South Central Kane County, including the Lower Paria River Canyon.
