* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Central Richmond County in east central Georgia...
* WHEN...Until 530 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 233 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fort Gordon, Augusta, Hephzibah, South Augusta, Augusta Mall, Daniel Field, Glendale, Summerville, Augusta Regional Airport, Midtown, Blythe, Diamond Lakes Regional Park, Glenn Hills, Miles Park, Richmond County Recreation Center, Hillcrest Memorial Park, Kendan Park and Minnick Park. - This includes Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 2 and 15. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
