* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Frio River at Tilden.

* WHEN...Until late Saturday night.

* IMPACTS...At 29.8 feet, Major flooding occurs. Disastrous flooding of commercial and residential buildings in Tilden. Restuarant on the right bank of the Frio River had 3 to 4 feet of water in it.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:15 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 24.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - The latest USGS measurement of the stage places the river closer to 29 ft. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.7 feet this evening.
