At 504 PM MDT, Strong thunderstorms which produced heavy rain over portions of Capitol Reef National Park including Sheets Gulch up through Capitol Gorge, Grand Wash, Cohab Canyon, and Sulphur Creek, have since dissipated. Up to 0.6 inches of rain fell in a very short period of time from those earlier storms. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
