At 256 AM CDT, local law enforcement and broadcast media reported flash flooding was ongoing in the warned area, and in particular in and around the Paxton area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen, with the highest amounts from near Gibson City to Paxton. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing, with reports of several road closures and water in basements.
HAZARD...Significant flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Rapid-onset, significant flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, low-lying areas, and poor drainage areas. Widespread street and underpass flooding. Possible flooding of structures, including basements. Possible flooding of highways.
