* Flash Flood Warning for... Southwestern Mesa County in west central Colorado...

* Until 345 PM MDT.

* At 1250 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in John Brown Canyon. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of creeks and streams, highways, county roads and underpasses/culverts.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Southwestern Mesa County, west of Gateway, including John Brown Canyon.
