* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways (5.8 to 7.2 feet Mean Lower Low Water).
* WHERE...Washington, Southern Bristol MA, Southern Plymouth MA, and Newport RI Counties.
* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 8 PM EDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Splashover and Minor coastal flooding is expected in the lowest lying areas along the south coast of Rhode Island and Massachusetts over multiple high tide cycles late today through this weekend. A few immediate coastal roads may briefly flood due to wave action. In addition...minor beach erosion is also possible.
Instructions
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
