At 1241 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles south of Abingdon to Rominger to near Spruce Pine. Movement was southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
