At 1022 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 27 nm north of Muskallonge State Park to Grand Sable Dunes to 7 nm northwest of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore to 13 nm southeast of Au Train Island, moving east at 30 knots.
