* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Nevada, including the following county, Elko.
* WHEN...Until 645 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 450 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - The heaviest rain occurred on the west side of Pequop Summit along I-80 where the most likely flooding and ponding of water on roadways. Effected creeks, West Squaw Creek and Independence Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... mainly rural areas of East Central Elko County; West side of Pequop Summit - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
