At 818 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Crofton, or 8 miles south of Lewis And Clark State Recreation Area, moving east at 35 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR CROFTON.
HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters report wind driven baseball sized hail in Niobrara, NE at 7:58 PM.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and vehicles.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Knox and northwestern Cedar Counties, including the following locations... Weigand Marina, Gavins Point Dam And Campgrounds, Lewis And Clark State Recreation Area, and Santee Reservation.
