For the following areas... Choptank River to Cambridge MD and the Little Choptank River...

At 621 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Five Fathoms Buoy to 6 nm northwest of Delaware Lightship Buoy 44009 to Fenwick Island, moving east at 60 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 48 knots, and small hail.

SOURCE...Observed wind.

IMPACT...Boaters could easily be thrown overboard by suddenly higher wind and waves capsizing their vessel. Boats could suffer significant damage in high winds. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas.

Locations impacted include... Choptank River and Tilghman Island.
