Waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Fernandina Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL from 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 515 PM EDT.

* At 413 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over St. Simons Island, moving southeast at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include... Buoy Hlha, High Point, Buoy F, Buoy Cdh, Jekyll Island, St Simons Island Village, St. Simons Island, Saint Andrews Sound, Buoy Kby, Dungeness, Saint Marys Entrance Buoy 16, St Simons Sound Buoy 9, Cumberland Island, and Whittakers Snapper Hole Reef.
