Air Quality Alert

An Air Quality Alert for wildfire smoke has been issued by the following agencies:

An Air Quality Alert remains in effect for Whatcom and Skagit Counties through Thursday August 6 at 5pm due to wildfire smoke from regional fires.

Degraded air quality is expected in Skagit County from Hamilton eastward and in Whatcom from Deming eastward. Particulate matter (PM2.5) concentrations may reach Unhealthy levels in the easter portions of Skagit and Whatcom Counties. When air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time outside, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor air.
