At 259 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered thunderstorms have formed just west of Dulles International airport, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 31 nm west of Key Bridge, moving east at 20 knots.The thunderstorms are expected to reach the tidal Potomac River by 5 PM.
