* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of south central and west central Virginia, including the following counties, in south central Virginia, Bedford and Pittsylvania. In west central Virginia, Franklin.
* WHEN...Until 445 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 139 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Blackwater River, Bearskin Creek, Big Chestnut Creek, Back Creek, Cedar Creek and Banister River. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rocky Mount...
