The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... West Central Kane County in southern Utah... East Central Washington County in southwestern Utah...

* Until 100 AM MDT.

* At 1056 PM MDT, National Park Service reported flash flooding from earlier thunderstorms producing heavy rain across Zion National Park. A gauge at the North Fork of the Virgin River in Springdale reported flows peaking over 5500 cfs at 800 PM MDT. The majority of rainfall fell earlier, though a few storms are still in the area.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams, slot canyons, and normally dry washes.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Zion National Park, Springdale, Keyhole Canyon, Spry Canyon, Parunuweap Canyon, the Narrows, Orderville Canyon, and the North and East Forks of the Virgin River.
