For the Gale Warning, north winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and waves 11 to 16 ft expected. For the second Small Craft Advisory, north winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 8 to 13 ft expected.
* WHERE...Grand Marais to Whitefish Point MI.
* WHEN...For the first Small Craft Advisory, until 11 AM EDT this morning. For the Gale Warning, from 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening. For the second Small Craft Advisory, from 8 PM this evening to 7 AM EDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
