* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico... Southern Sierra County in south central New Mexico... Northeastern Luna County in southwestern New Mexico...

* Until 245 PM MDT.

* At 1145 AM MDT, Thunderstorms with torrential rainfall rates up to 3 inches per hour are moving into the Hatch and Rincon Valley. This will lead to serious flash flooding on arroyos and low water crossings, and in poor drainage areas, including in Rincon.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Hatch, Rincon, Angostura, Peaceful Valley.

All low water crossings on Highway 185 between mile markers 21 and 35 will likely become impassable. Expect rapid rises on Rincon Arroyo.
