.Critical fire weather conditions are expected in parts of south central North Dakota into this evening. Northwest winds will begin to diminish this evening with rising humidity after 7 PM.

* AFFECTED AREA...Morton, Grant, Sioux, and Emmons counties.

* TIMING...Until 9 PM CDT /8 PM MDT/ this evening.

* WINDS...Northwest around 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress.
