Coastal Flood Advisory

* WHAT...1 to 1 1/2 ft, locally 2 ft, of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. The highest water levels likely with the Monday morning high tide.

* WHERE...Bronx, Northwest Suffolk, Northern Queens and Northern Nassau Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 2 PM EDT Monday.

* COASTAL IMPACTS...Minor coastal flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Expect 1 to 1 1/2 ft, locally 2 ft, of inundation above ground level. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

* SHOREFRONT AND BEACH IMPACTS...Breaking waves of 2 to 4 feet, along with elevated water levels, will result in scattered areas of dune erosion and splashover, which could locally exacerbate flooding of roadways and vulnerable structures.
