* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will.
* WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams will rise out of their banks. Extensive street flooding is occurring. Flooding of structures and basements is possible. High water may be slow to recede from flooded areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1058 PM CDT, local law enforcement, emergency dispatch departments, and highway departments reported widespread flooding across the area. Some significant flooding is ongoing with multiple roadways impassable and basements flooded. Up to 6 inches of rain fell due to earlier thunderstorms. Because heavy rainfall has ended, worsening of flood impacts is not expected over the next several hours. However, as water moves into rivers and streams, river levels will continue to rise. In addition, standing water in flooded areas will be slow to recede. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
