Thunderstorms continue to develop across the eastern Gulf, with the highest activity focused along the Chichagof and Baranof coast. While these storms are producing some lightning, the primary threat is erratic gusty winds of 15 to 25 knots and heavy rainfall reducing visibility below 3 NM. Mariners navigating Cape Decision to Cross Sound should be aware of this threat and be ready for gusty winds. Thunderstorm activity should diminish later Thursday evening.
