At 746 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located along a line extending from North Masonboro Island to 10 Mile Boxcars to near School House Reef, moving southwest at 15 knots. At 736 PM EDT, a peak gust to 29kts was observed at Wrightsville Beach on Johnnie Mercers Fishing Pier.

Locations impacted include... Fort Fisher, Kure Beach, Sheepshead Rock, Buoy Off Carolina Beach, Lockwood Folly Inlet Sea Buoy, Cape Fear Sea Buoy, Kure Beach Point, and Carolina Beach.
